He was born in Denizli in 1962. He completed his primary and secondary education in Denizli, high school education at İzmir Atatürk High School in İzmir, and higher education in Business Administration and Management at United States International University in England.
He started his career in 1985 at Er-Bakır A.Ş. Together with his siblings, he founded Ahmet Nuri Erikoğlu Holding A.Ş., named after their father, to bring their commercial and industrial companies under one roof. To develop investments and act more dynamically in the sectors they served, they decided to specialize under the umbrella of Ahmet Nuri Erikoğlu Holding. In 2013, he co-founded Erikoğlu Endüstri Holding A.Ş. with his elder brother Vedat Erikoğlu.
Sedat Erikoğlu continues to serve as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Erikoğlu Endüstri Holding A.Ş., an Executive Board Member at Er-Bakır A.Ş., and the Vice Chairman of the Board at Ahmet Nuri Erikoğlu Holding A.Ş.
Beyond his professional life, Sedat Erikoğlu is actively involved in social life and is a member of the following clubs and associations:
