He was born in Denizli in 1952. He completed his primary education in Denizli, secondary and high school education at İzmir Özel Türk Koleji, and higher education in the Chemical Engineering Department of Ege University.
He started his career at Ergür Kablo A.Ş. and led the establishment efforts of Er-Bakır A.Ş. and Erikoğlu Emaye A.Ş. Together with his siblings, he founded Ahmet Nuri Erikoğlu Holding A.Ş., named after their father, to bring together their commercial and industrial companies under one roof. To develop investments and act more dynamically in the sectors they served, they decided to specialize under the umbrella of Ahmet Nuri Erikoğlu Holding. In 2013, he co-founded Erikoğlu Endüstri Holding A.Ş. with his brother Sedat Erikoğlu.
Vedat Erikoğlu continues to serve as the Chairman of the Board of Erikoğlu Endüstri Holding A.Ş. and as the Vice Chairman of the Board at both Er-Bakır A.Ş. and Ahmet Nuri Erikoğlu Holding.
Believing in the importance of social life as much as business life, Vedat Erikoğlu has been actively involved in the following organizations:

Vedat Erikoğlu is married and has two children.
